Hanging on a street corner in front of the Strand

The Strand is one of my favorite stores in New York. For a while, I couldn't enter the building without leaving with a book (the last time I went, I finally located a copy of Gilles Peress' Telex, Iran).

I took this photo while waiting for a friend. I was browsing through books when I got her call. We were going to lunch or to a movie, and I decided to meet her on the street instead of in the stacks. I was standing by the dollar books when I decided to snap some shots. This was one of them.
