Walking to school, Taipei, Taiwan

After breakfast, we walked Sophia's nephew to school. He dragged his feet, and at one point we ended up taking the bus a few blocks. The day had grown warmer, and the level of humidity seemed to keep rising. I was unprepared for how warm Taiwan was. The clothes I had brought were more suited for late fall/winter. They proved perfect for Japan, but in Taiwan I often found myself somewhat over-dressed.

I can't remember exactly what we did this day. Maybe we had unagi don at a place that Sophia knew, maybe we went and looked at her new apartment. I don't remember the location of the unagi don place; we took a cab and it was in a different part of the city. I don't remember the location of almost all the places we went, but I remember the food itself. Just the other day I was wishing we could go back to the noodle place with the meat sauce. I was wishing I had brought some home.

Tena koe ehoa I actually quite like the visual fact this this child has chosen to react to your presence. There's a sense of cause and effect provided as a resulting expression that gives the image a good dynamic.
