November 22, 2005Dr Jones Dr Jones, Calling Dr JonesI called the doctor today. Both of them. From the blood tests I discovered my cholesterol level is 170 (though I forgot to ask them what the split was) and I'm negative for rheumatoid arthritis. From the fluid, they discovered that I'm negative for white blood cells and negative for chystals in the fluid taken from my knee, which means that I don't have an infection and that I don't have gout. I forgot to ask them to test for blood type. So next monday I go back to the orthopedic surgeon and he gives me a cortisone shot and hopefully it'll all be better.listening to: the rosebuds, birds make good neighbors

Boy! I wonder what it is. The cortisone shot is a treatment, right? So even if that works, there's still no saying what the cause might be? Posted by: irene at November 22, 2005 5:26 PMyeah. even after the shot that won't say what caused it. it'll just hopefully make it all go away. i think cortisone is a steroid used to treat inflammations? Posted by: e.ku at November 22, 2005 6:37 PMeugene, what is going on?! i hope you are on the mend. xo j Posted by: (k) jean at November 22, 2005 8:56 PMyeah jean. it must be the aging process. or spider bites. :-/ looks like i won't be snowboarding anytime soon! :-( Posted by: e.ku at November 22, 2005 10:46 PMHope the cortisone shot works, ouch! Cortisone is a steroid, should help with the inflammation, but won't treat the underlying cause. :( Posted by: teresa at November 22, 2005 11:20 PMyeah. it kind of bums me out that they don't know what the underlying cause is. :( Posted by: e.ku at November 22, 2005 11:37 PMPost a comment
