FLASH.

A sampling of flash projects I have completed over the past few years mostly for my own edification.

PROJECTS:

Four weeks in the
four corners of Sri Lanka
.

From Buddhist ceremonies to beautiful beaches. No wonder no less an authority than Marco Polo once dubbed it the finest island of its size in the world. Life before the tsunami.

Lomo.

Exhibiting the first two rolls I took with my now busted Lomo LC-A camera.

Good Housekeeping.

Reappropriating old Good Housekeeping magazines.

Three weeks in the Middle East.

A small flash site exhibiting black and white photos I took in Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan with a Leica iiiF and a Holga.

New York Photo.

Playing with sound and some black and white images of New York I had lying around.

Ap rop osn othi ng.

Early flash and javascript experiments.

Three months in China.

I spent the summer of 2002 in China, spending the first month with my father, and then taking another two to explore the southern and western regions of the country. This site contains photographs and journal entries from those months.

My girlfriend is an airline stewardess.

With two weeks vacation and the end of the year approaching, I decided to spend Thanksgiving 2001 in Japan. Still, I barely scratched the surface.

Slack.

Slack time and stock photos.

Astrid.

Digital fun with Gretchen's then brand-new baby.

S E A E K.

Midway through 2000, I left my job to spend six months travelling through Southeast Asia. My first extended solo trip, I discovered the people and places to be incredibly beautiful and open, and managed to catch the travel bug bad.

1945.

My first flash project, reappropriating images from a History Channel website.
