Wednesday morning 10 a.m.

I awoke at 7.30 this morning. I wasn't awake long, but I woke to almost perfect silence. It took a moment before I could hear the hushed sound of a passing car. The morning was overcast; the room was dark.

Walking to work, a wet light snow fell.
