Subway attendant
Increasingly, they seem to be automating the subway system. I heard that they're phasing out attendants in the Spring Street station. While I haven't had the need to talk to an attendant in a long time (and I found those that I did talk to to be a somewhat surly bunch), I can't imagine the stations without attendants.
